Luna & Stella, founded in 2008 by Suzanne Ellis Wernevi, blends its own contemporary heirlooms with antique and estate pieces. Influenced by the moon
and star icons used in Victorian jewelry, we design fine jewelry that is symbolic of loved ones, using birthstones and other symbols to represent the relationships between parents, grandparents, children, partners, siblings, and friends. A passionate collector of antique jewelry, Suzanne curates a selection of antique lockets, vintage charms, and  Estate stacking rings chosen to layer with Luna & Stella’s collection of modern talismans, charms, symbols and birthstones. Luna & Stella is based in Providence, RI, the historic jewelry manufacturing capital of the United States.

Luna & Stella is a family affair.  Founder Suzanne Ellis Wernevi, building on years of merchandising and product development experience in roles at J.Crew, Bally, RedEnvelope, and Victoria’s Secret, leads design.  Husband Erik consults on strategy, brainstorms inexecutable marketing ideas, and packs boxes when needed.  Suzanne’s mom, Caroline Ellis, writes the questionably business-related but always interesting (as evidenced by its recent nomination for Best Blog in New England) Suzanne’s Mom’s Blog.  The baby in the picture below is now 6 and has a sister who is 3.  Time for a new family photo!
